Miley Cyrus has fulfilled a request from fan Cash Jacobs, who says she has stage 3 breast cancer, by shaving her head backstage at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Cash Jacobs had asked for the gesture in a TikTok video before starting chemotherapy. Jacobs says Cyrus's team arranged the meeting after the singer's second show, following an earlier miss, according to IBTimes UK.

Jacobs posted her request during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, before Cyrus's first Hollywood Bowl concert. The two shows were listed for 16 and 18 October 2026. The first night did not deliver a meeting. Cyrus's team then arranged tickets and travel for the second show, according to Jacobs.

Why the First Attempt Fell Through

Jacobs's original video, posted on TikTok under the handle cashjacobs_2, set out her diagnosis, said she was due to see Cyrus at the venue and asked viewers to tag the singer and her team. After the opening show, she posted that she had left with her hair intact.

Cyrus's team had contacted her shortly beforehand, asking for her seat number and contact details, but no meeting followed. Neither Cyrus nor her representatives had publicly commented on the missed meeting in the reports reviewed.

Jacobs said she understood, describing it as a busy night and a last-minute request. The concerts marked Cyrus's first public Los Angeles performances in four years, according to LAmag, and promoted Bass Persuades, her tenth studio album, released on 18 September 2026.

It follows her 2025 album Something Beautiful and is her first release for Atlantic Records, according to a syndicated report.
