Khloé Kardashian's daughter, True, has been telling people she has a 'sister in the freezer' after learning her mother has a frozen embryo she could potentially use to have another child.

The reality star, 42, shared the unusual family revelation while speaking to her mother, Kris Jenner, on The Kardashians. Kardashian explained that True had overheard her discussing the embryo with a doctor and had become increasingly interested in having another sister.

'True is like laser-focused on that she has a sister in the freezer,' Kardashian told Jenner.

When Jenner reacted with surprise, Kardashian added that True had already started telling other people.

'She hears everything,' Jenner observed.

'She does. She's silent, but lethal,' Kardashian joked.

Khloé Kardashian Reveals the Name Her Daughter Chose

The conversation took another turn when Kardashian revealed that the potential addition to the family already had a name.

'The sister has a name,' she told Jenner.

When her mother asked what it was, Kardashian replied: 'Tyla.'

She explained that True had chosen the name herself and that she liked it enough to consider using it if she decided to have another baby.

'I actually love the name, so I think I want to use this name, if I ever do it,' Kardashian said.

She then considered how the name would sound alongside those of her existing children, True and four-year-old Tatum, whom she shares with her former partner Tristan Thompson.

'Tyla, True, Tatum. How cute!' she exclaimed.

Despite her enthusiasm about the name, Kardashian has not decided whether to expand her family.

Why Kardashian Is Hesitant About Another Baby

During the conversation, Kardashian also discussed the legal arrangements she made with Thompson concerning their remaining embryos.

'I own the embryo outright,' she told Jenner, explaining that Thompson had signed paperwork allowing her to use the embryos without needing to consult him again.

However, having the option to pursue another pregnancy does not mean she feels ready for one.

In a separate interview segment, Kardashian acknowledged that the possibility of True growing up without a sister made her sad.

'It definitely bums me out that True might not have a sister,' she said.

'I love sisters, and I do believe that every girl needs a sister. And I personally would love another daughter.'

Nevertheless, she acknowledged that she was weighing that desire against the demands of raising two children.

'But also I'm getting older, and it's a lot,' she explained. 'I don't know if this is something I can handle.'

Her comments reflect the uncertainty behind what might otherwise sound like a straightforward decision: she would welcome another daughter but is unsure whether another child is right for her circumstances.

What Happens To Frozen Embryos During IVF?

Frozen embryos are commonly used in in vitro fertilisation (IVF), a fertility treatment in which eggs are fertilised with sperm in a laboratory. Embryos that are not transferred to the uterus during the initial treatment cycle can be frozen and stored for potential future use.

During a frozen embryo transfer, an embryo is thawed and placed in the uterus. This allows someone to attempt pregnancy using an embryo created during an earlier IVF cycle without necessarily undergoing another round of egg retrieval.

Does Using a Frozen Embryo Guarantee a Pregnancy?

A frozen embryo transfer does not guarantee pregnancy or a live birth. Outcomes vary depending on factors such as the age of the person whose eggs were retrieved, embryo quality and individual medical circumstances.

People considering fertility treatment can discuss their options, likely outcomes and the physical and emotional demands of treatment with a qualified fertility specialist.

Kardashian has not confirmed whether she will use the embryo named Tyla. For now, True's enthusiasm has given a possible future sibling a name, while her mother continues to weigh whether another child is right for her family.
